What do ya think?
City of the Dead
Chicago, the windy city, a husky brawling city with big shoulders set between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi Watershed. The city has always had an attitude bustling with criminals, with Al Capone, John Dillinger, and Baby face Nelson. It is a city that never sleeps, that makes its own rules, where dying and living makes no difference as long as you got fast cars, big wallets, and a light feeding the night life.
But even this Hog Butcher can’t last forever, because there is trouble in Chi-Town. The city known for gangsters, jazz music, and bustling streets went quiet. The power went out, the speakeasies closed, and the streets became bare, a skeleton of the city it’s supposed to be. No one knows what happened. The newspapers scrambled to figure out; Man Attacked by Local Homeless Man; Doctor Bit By Patient; Dead Rising; City In Quarantine. And then it all stopped. The city was in a war with its own aggressive nature. Man killing man, zombie eating the remains.
Now pockets of survivors exist in this once loud city. Hope is dwindling, being drowned out by the moans and occasional screams throughout the empty streets. Can anyone find a way out? Government officials broadcast transmissions into the city telling survivors to make their way to O’Hare International Airport for evac. Can anyone make it? The streets are riddled with Zombies, and a malicious cult has begun to spread its influence across the dying city. Will the city die, or will its attitude lead to survival.
Day 12 of the Outbreak...

I am thoroughly surprised you are going to get in on this Dylan...good surprised...welcome...2 or 3 more at least. I you have a character idea Post it here so I can check it out...Here is mine use a similar structure:
Name- Reverend Jack Hathaway
Age- 53
Height- 5'11
Physical Characteristics- Bald, cold calculated stare, rough aged face. Hidden beneath his black Reverend's suit he is unexpectedly muscular, tone from years of military training.
Occupation- Former Reverend of the modern Puritan Church of Chicago, now leads "The Perish" his twisted ultra puritanical cult inside the city.
History- Jack was a product of the Vietnam War. Having seen the grittiest atrocities man has ever committed, Jack turned away from the military when he returned from the war. His focus shifted to religion, as he sought out a deeper meaning to life, an explanation to what allowed the horrors he saw to be okay. Twenty years later he finished seminary school and joined the Puritan Evangelical Church of America, believing the ultra structure it provided is what would save the world from its own sin. As the years continued memories of the war resurfaced and madness began to creep into his mind. His Puritan beliefs deepened with every day. He soon began to proclaim to his followers that the end was nigh, and believed the dead would rise to reap the harvest of man’s rebellion against God. The church excommunicated him for his heretical teachings. This didn't stop him. He founded "the Perish" a cult group that condemned all those who didn't follow their conservative brand of pseudo-Christian belief. When the outbreak exploded in Chicago, "the Perish" took its chance at accelerating the harvest, and now roams the streets forcing people to join or be killed.

Name- Alex "Clean" Evans
Age- 34
Height- 5'10
Physical Characteristics- Long shaggy hair with an equally unkempt beard. Despite his worn clothes, rough looks, and rugged lifestyle, he has somehow retained a surprisingly youthful and cheerful attitude. After many years of eating from dumpsters, his overall size and musculature have shrunk.
Occupation- Though a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, he has never been part of the employed world. His means of income, for the most part, come from theft and then fencing the goods. Taking from the rich and giving to the poor, Clean is a modern day "Robin Hood."
History- Alex was a star athlete during his years in high school and college. One semester before receiving his degree, he withdrew and fled to the streets of New York City. He then joined a shelter, where he met good friend and mentor, "Safe" Jones. Alex was taught how to survive on his own by Safe, and was also given the nickname "Clean," for his overly dirty appearance. Safe passed away soon after he was done mentoring Alex. With his mentor gone, Alex traveled on foot to Chicago. He was approached by many homeless "families," but he decided it was safer to go it on his own. During one of his latest trips to a public restroom, he glanced in a mirror and was humored at the way his body had morphed over the past three years. He looked like a skinny old man...but oddly enough, a YOUNG skinny old man. A mysterious outbreak soon occurred, and Clean is now on the run from not only what appear to be the undead, but also from survivors. He knows that the survivors are not to be trusted, and that they are equally dangerous as the undead. Sticking to the shadows, and observing as much as possible about the current dilemma, Alex is hoping to come up with a plan.

Perfect...Everything checks with that character. Keep them coming guys...I am gonna put a two character per person cap on this RP if anyone wants to double up. Wait till two people post before you post the same character's part, one person if you are switching between different characters...Example:
I post. I have to wait till Dylan and Miles post before. I can post again with Hathaway. However if I posted as a Hathaway and want to post with another character, I have to wait only till either Dylan or Miles Posts. The alternative is post both characters on one thread.

Name: Kevin “Smiles” Night
Age: 26
Height: 5’11”
Physical Characteristics: Short buzzed hair with a full trimmed beard. A very quick witted, happy go lucky attitude towards life seems like a stark contradiction from his love of fighting.
History: Throughout Kevin’s life he has always been a fighter. Not for the love of hurting another person, but for the thrill of testing his own limits. Kevin is forever pushing himself to the very edge in everything he does. During High School Kevin was an average student, but excelled in sports year round. After High School he joined the Army for a few years where he started learning MMA. It’s been true love ever since. Once Kevin got out he took what money left over from his military service, and opened up a gym in the sunny streets of Chicago. Training himself, as well as training others, had become the focus for his life at this point. Everything came down to those Friday Night Fights where Kevin earned the nickname Smiles because when he fought he always had a smile on his face. Late one Thursday night Kevin was cleaning up the gym, and getting himself ready for his fight the following night when what looked like a crazed homeless man crashed through the front window. Immediately he ran to the man’s side thinking someone must have thrown him in during a fight, but just has he was nearing him the man launched himself at him. Years of training and fighting saved his life. Kevin was able to dodge by rolling under his attacker and hurling him towards the far wall. As the homeless man hit the wall Kevin heard a loud SNAP that he knew was probably the man’s neck. Kevin rushed over and turned the lights on and what he saw made him take a step back. The thing he had thought was a homeless man was missing the bottom half of his jaw. This was Kevin’s first run in the with Zombie horde, but most certainly not his last.

Nice touch. I love when people research. The hospital is what I am referring to. One question by discovering and epidemic do you mean you discovered something that caused it to happen or have discovered the epidemic in the wake of being a doctor?

I must say that I am glad that both Eric and Miles implemented guns and weaponry into their characters. That could come in handy.
