I voted for Master Chief because of my lack of experience with the MG series. I played Snake Eater and I REALLY enjoyed the game play, story, and characters. On the other hand, I have been able to develop a full understanding of Master Chief and his character alone. The sole deciding factor would have to be voice acting though. I love Master Chief's voice...it's so calm, relaxed, and nonchalant.

David Hayter is an awesome voice actor as well. I think patience is the key. Solid Snake is patient and skilled in unarmed combat as well. If we are basing this mostly on the game depictions, which I feel is the only right way of doing this, the Chief is clunky and not so agile. His Hand to hand ability is reserved to pistol whips. Snake knows CQC, is a co founder of it in fact in his story. Seamless moves.
Plus the Chief is really just a mini metal gear if you think about it. He has never had a problem destroying them.

I really liked the camo concept in Snake Eater. The best of all of the camo was the shirtless option which does give Snake a one up in my bad ass meter. We will never know until they are pitted against each other in a one on one scenario in some sort of Smash Bros. or Dissidia platform.

Smash Brothers already has Snake. Microsoft and Bungie need to release him now.

Is he worth using or is he extremely overpowered in some ridiculous way?

No they actually make him a hard character to use. Has a lot of ranged attacks. They didn't use his hand to hand abilities very well.

Figures. Oh well, I haven't played Brawl much but in the other two Link has always been my main man. Well......I guess Young Link in Melee but that's just semantics, right?

Deadliest Warrior should do an episode on the two of them, because we all know that the show gives accurate depictions of two warriors facing off.

Haha...yeah a ninja lost to a Spartan Warrior. They didn't figure in that the Ninja would be hidden.

I'm gonna have to go with Solid Snake on this one.
When I imagine the two fighting all I can picture happening is Master Chief looking around, and then suddenly having his neck broken my Snake from behind.

Solid Snake could kill Master chief before he got a shot off.
