Last book I picked up was a novel called White Teeth by Zadie Smith. It was a contemporary novel about the battle between identity and assimilation in modern Britain. Very light on the action. An intellectual book. Kept me interested with incredibly philosophical subjects and vibrant characters. Easily found my own confusions about my role in society in the children within the novel.
Do I recommend? Not for everyone. The casual reader will not enjoy the subtlety of many of the themes and symbols. Not very long though, so if you are in for a new book, something maybe more challenging to analyze pick it up.

I've been reading the peaceful warrior books, The Journey's of Socrates, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior, and The Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior, as of late. They are spiritual, and life altering books. I find myself changing the way I live, and view my life the more I read these books.
I recommend them for anyone who might be a little lost with life. Spiritually, or just confused as to what to do. They are pretty short books, and not really what I would call a tough read.
