So, we have all had weird things happen to us. Anyone have any unexplained stories that scared the hell out of you?

There's been two nights where, I guess it really isn't TOO scary, but it had me worried. The feeling like your falling as you fall asleep... Well there were two different nights where I got that feeling over and over and over again. I got that strange feeling like I wouldn't be waking up or that something was passing through me. Something weird was going on, most likely medical/biological, but who knows. That's my story. I want to see some others!

Well last night, which is what prompted this, I saw something very strange while driving. Over near the Old Larson house next to the coal mine, I saw in my Rear View mirror to red lights. At first I thought they were car brake lights. However I soon realized I never passed any car. I looked back into the rear view and they were gone. Now they had moved to my mirrors on the left side of my car. The two lights were much closer together now too. I looked away too look back. Nothing. They were gone from the mirror when I turned back again. Instead they were again in my Rear View Mirror. I sped up and left the area. Thought it might have been an illusion being played on me by reflectors on the side of the road. But when I experiment the further I drove away the dimmer they got. The lights I saw were constant. Not to mention I wasn't hitting my brakes which meant the red brake lights wouldn't have come on to illuminate the lights. I don't know what it was. Just a little creepy.

That definitely would have given me the creeps, and I would have gotten the hell out of there haha.
Ever since I moved to Alabama I've started having what I thought were recurring dreams where I would be waking up, but unable to move. I would then experience several minutes of panic then fall back asleep.
Now until just a few days ago I would never fully remember the event. Which is why I always chocked it up to a bad dream. On like Friday or Saturday I took a nap, and had the worst dream of my life. I actually work up screaming and jumping out of bed. It was the same thing as before I would wake up open my eyes, and be unable to move any part of my body. Only this time it was much more real, and seemed to last much long then before.
It turns out I have whats called Sleep Paralysis. Which has different ways off effecting different people, but for me it means that my mind is only half waking up. The part of my brain that sends the signals to my muscles to move is still asleep which leaves me in an actual state of complete paralysis.
Its caused a whole new fear in my life. Not being able to move, but being able to think and be aware of your surroundings is a terrifying experience to say the least.

That is really scary. I hate even when my arm is fully numb and unmovable, but just to imagine my whole body....in the dark, especially after a nightmare. I'd probably faint from panic, haha. I feel for you man...

It definitely keeps me up at night. Since the last episode or whatever I've been basicly staying up reading, or messing around online until my eyes wont stay open because I'm hoping that shear exhaustion will keep it from happening again.
No I haven't gotten checked out. I've thought about it, and I guess if it happens that bad again I probably will.

Probably good. What causes it? This is a new problem right?

Yeah it just started when I moved down here.
Which makes since because stress, life changes, and change in sleep patterns can cause it to flare up I guess.

I don't know whether this should be classified as a nightmare.....or a fantasy.

That was the most restless four hours of sleep I have ever gotten. I have no comment on the images that were whizzing through my head as I lay there on my couch. All of us should count ourselves lucky if we don't vomit and drown in our sleep within the next week. REAL lucky..

I'm with Dylan on this one. We should all take great care before falling asleep after chatting in strep balls and wieners.
