Name: Disciple Urthan
Title: Disciple/rogue
Age: 26
Race: Human
Appearance: Short cut hair coupled with a goatee. A young man of Average height, and build only standing around 5’9”.
Personality/Quirks: Curious since birth Urthan has always asked one thing. Why? Why are things the way they are this eventually brought him to the question that has shaped his life since his early teens. What makes the force light, and dark?
Religion: Believe in the ever flowing force. Doesn’t consider the force to be something made up of two halves, but more of an energy that is inherently good. The force and the abilities it gives us is not evil. Only the people that use it towards evil ends are.
Abilities: An adapt force user, with fairly moderate fighting abilities. Fights best from afar using various force powers that most label either light or dark. Likes to combine abilities to increase their effectiveness Urthan can use force push, but by combining it with force lighting he can stun his opponents while keeping them at a distance.
Gear: Urthan wears black and grey robes that are tied close, but loosely to his body. This allows him free moment, but also gives him the ability to meld into the shadows. While Urthan does carry a green lightsaber his main weapon is that of a white tipped lightsaber pike strapped to his back. The extended range of this weapon allows Urthan to keep his distance while fighting giving him more time to assess the situation, and figure out the best course of action.
Faction: Not really dedicated to one group. Urthan however does fight for what normal Jedi’s refer to as the light side. He views the Sith as defilers of the force. Using it to control others and to wreak havoc is what allows people to cling onto the view of the force being two things instead of one.
History: Urthan was born on Tatooine. His mother had died giving birth to him leaving his father to raise him alone. His father worked as a miner, as well as a trader in a small shop he owned several days of the week. Having two jobs left little time to spend with his son. Urthan however didn’t really mind. From an early age he showed a sharp mind. He knew that the time his father spent away was so that there was always food on the table, for this he was eternally grateful.
At the age of 15 while playing in his room Urthan discovered if he focused hard enough he could cause the objects in his room to float and come towards him. Upon showing is father this he made him swear to never tell or show anyone what he could do. Urthan agreed trusting his father’s wisdom. A few years past and Urthan turned 18. While he had never spoken to his father again about his abilities behind closed doors he continued to practice. On the night of his 18th birthday his father told him he had a surprise for him. He said that they must go to his shop to get it. They worked their way there, but Urthan was confused by the route his father had taken. They were going the long way around town where no one lived.
Once they got to the store his father opened the doors, and inside was a man dressed in tan robes. His father shook hands with the man, and then they both stirred at him. The man smiled and introduced himself as Master Chin a teacher of sorts. Urthan knew that he was leaving with his man. He turned to his father who quickly hugged him. He then gave him a black cloth bag, saying it was one of his most precious items that he and found in the mines.
Urthan then spent the seven years of his life training under Master Chin. Who showed him the ways of the shadow Jedi, a new form of Jedi that Urthan was perfect for. He quickly developed skills far beyond what he thought was possible. It turned out that the parting gift from his father was actually a crystal from a Krayt Dragon. He used this rare item in the creation of his lightsaber pike giving it a white blade.
One night Master Chin woke Urthan from a deep sleep. This was very unlike his master, and his force perception told him that not all was well. Before his old master could speak he already knew what was to come.
“I must leave, right Master?”
A smile washed over Master Chin’s face.
Your intuition continues to amaze me Urthan, but unfortunately you are right. I have nothing left to teach you in the ways of shadow. The time is now for you to go off, and seek out what the force has in plan for you.
And with that he packed up his things, and got into a small ship that was his Masters parting gift to him. He sat there for a long time thinking about what he should do now, and then it came to him. He would go see his father. It had been far too long since he had seen the man who had given him so much.
