Hey guys!
I know I'm new, but I do have a really cool idea for a roleplay; even if we don't start it now, maybe we can a little later.
But I was thinking along the lines of something like an FBI/investigation styled RP.
We'd be tracking serial killers (they could be NPC's if necessary) as FBI agents.
NOTE: Anything that is crossed off is no longer available!
The normal structure could be:
Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) - This would be two head agents who are a little older in age. (late 30's, early 40's)
ONLY ONE SPOT LEFT (ONE MALE) Field agents - To keep this to a minimum, I'd recommend that there'd be four field agents (1 girl, 2 boys). They would be anywhere between their mid to late 20's to mid 30's.
The Liaison- This character would be responsible for updating the team on the case at hand and dealing with the press. It is preferred that this character be played by a girl in her mid 20's to late 30's. However, if there isn't a girl "turn out" if you will, the role could be played by a male as well.
The Tech Analyst - This person would be responsible for receiving information or checking files upon request of the other agents. Primarily, this character would be in front of a computer most of the time, but they could possibly be traveling with the team as well. This character could be a little younger (say early 20's) to help provide comedic relief (=P)
And Finally:
NPC FBI Head Office Representative - This character wouldn't be as common and will be played by an NPC if necessary. (S)He would be a bit on the bossy side and very controlling. Any actions (S)He would deem "unorthodox" would be considered punishable by suspension or parole.
I hope that provides a bit of information on the characters of the roleplay.
Now, I've done my research on the FBI so I kind of know what it requires. I would prefer if we had no characters over the age of 60, since the FBI does not allow that. Each character (accept the tech analyst and Liaison) would have to be very fit in order to be an agent.
We will be having to use techniques such as behaviour analysis and court room settings at times. so if you don't know about any of that stuff.. you might wanna do a little background research ;D.
But as far as that goes, the RP is open to all of you, and I really hope this RP generates interest. =)

This would be really awesome. Definitely something different from all the other RP's currently going on.
I wouldn't mind playing the Tech Analyst, as long as no one else wanted to play this role.

I could play a serial killer, seeing as how most of my characters in the the current RP's are all more aligned with goodness/light/neutrality. An evil side would help develop my character....developing skills? Haha.

todd2point0 -> Great! If no one else replies for that role, I'll sign you up!
dhusted34 -> Great! However, if it's alright with you. Would you be able to play the serial killer AND someone from the FBI? Just cause a serial killer would not be a permanent role, right? We'll eventually catch you and move on to the next one.
And Hey, it won't always be serial killers. ;D Sometimes terrorists.. etc, etc.

Thats possible, unless that is just my cue to exit the RP.... What if an agent died or some odd event. The players would have to recycle and make new characters. So basically, what you just said XD haha.

Well no,
If an agent dies, one person can just make a new one. Not everyone has to change, right?

I would love to do this, I love deducing for suspects and solving puzzles and I am OBSESSED with Death Note which is huge with that kind of stuff. I was trying to figure out how to do a Death Note rp on here for a while now actually but its tough to work out how that'd play since its not real life ha.
I may not do it however because even with the two rps that I posted in, a lot of my time is taken up. I like to sacrifice most of my day to writing stories so I may or may not. I am not sure.

Your brain is able to think in ways that mine cannot. You are correct. But sure, depending on my current load of RP's. I could try to do two... If worse comes to worst, I could always terminate one character somehow. Although, that would cause some sort of spike in drama, which I figure isn't always necessarily good....

lastsanity --> I'd love to have you, but only if you can. =) <3 Just lemme know what character/role you'd like when you're ready. I'll ask for character sheets later.
dhusted34 --> Or! You can ask someone to take over the character for you. As GM, I'd be more than happy to step in when needed. =)

That would work, because like how Kilo and I stated. The RP's we are currently in sap us of our daylight as it is already. So, I will look to you when I can no longer weather the storm!

Haha, anyone you want.
I may have forgotten that there were less people on this website than I hoped. So I guess everyone would more or less end up having to play more than one character..
I hope that's alright. unless we get more people here.

Alright! Well, let's have everyone who's interested post which part they'd like. They can have up to two if they want.
I'll play an agent and the head FBI director. (it's a minute role anyways).

If I do this I still want to be Near. And he is realistic, just very quirky in personality. But I have no clue what position he'd lie in... I mean he could be a field agent but he is usually never at the scene of the crime or one for much moving... so there is the SSA. I don't know... if I do this I will need to figure this out. Perhaps I'll have to be a new position made up entirely specially for him. :3 'Cus he ish special.

Maybe a Consultant hahaha

K, so I kind of decided to make the director an NPC because he/she won't even be around often anyways. So I guess I'll play one of the SSA's.
SSA's a still field agents, Kilo. Lol. They just lead the investigation and handle the bulk of the paperwork.
If I knew who this Near person was, I'd be able to help guide you in the right direction, but sadly I don't.
Maybe he could be the liason?

Isn't Near like a super smart guy who has an odd character because of his intelligence...thus why he may work more as a consultant type person only include him when really weird or tough conundrums come up.

Name: Wesley Jayden
Age: 42 Position: SSA Height: 6’2’’
Physical Appearance: Jayden is a handsome man, his face cleanly shaven, showing the sleek and chiseled contours of his face. His eyes are a seductive grayish blue yet at closer look tend to be permanently tear filled. Jayden’s head is kept freshly shaved at all times, a habit from his days in the Navy Seals. Because of his training his body is well toned even muscular at points (though he wears expensive suits to hide this), making him an intimidating presence as he towers over those around him. Still, over all he is continually commended for his professionalism and outstanding shows of compassion and amicability.
Specialty: Weapons Expert, Strong-Arm, and Interrogation Expert. Behavior: Outwardly Wesley Jayden is a stern man expressing complete belief in protocol. He always follows the rules and keeps a strict understanding of how to run a team. The Navy Seals drilled this into his head when he enlisted. However, a year after he was promoted from Field Agent to SSA, when he was 37 he began to have a shift in character, often breaking protocol to get to the bottom of cases. In his off duty time he is deeply scarred and melancholy plagued by trauma in his life.
Brief History: Wesley Jayden was born in a poor home in the rural woods of Pennsylvania. He grew up in an abusive environment with his alcoholic father and heroin addicted mother. To escape from the constant fighting he would roam the woods with his 32 Winchester Rifle, poaching game to feed his families slim stockpile. He graduated from High school with average scores and immediately decided to enlist to get away from his roots. During basic training he showed exemplary skills in marksmanship and had become more capable than any soldier in his class. The Navy Seals immediately offered him a spot in their training at the young age of 19.
His tour of duty lasted until he was 29 when he was offered a job as a high brass officer in the military. He took it but soon found the lack of field work was not befitting him, and asked for a transfer. The FBI was in need of capable agents, and was impressed by his resume. He spent a year in training, where he studied diligently the subjects of protocol, psychology, and other useful criminal science books.
It wasn’t long before he was given a spot as a Field Agent. Two years later he was married and had two gorgeous children. As an agent he excelled offering his expertise in weapons and soon became recognized for being the fiercest most effective investigator in the division. When the current SSA was promoted to Head Office Rep, he was immediately nominated to replace the vacant position. At age 36 he proudly took the promotion. As SSA he ran a tight ship, and closed many cases in his first year of work.
Just a year later tragedy struck. Agent Jayden’s wife and kids were murdered by a serial killer who Jayden’s team had missed months earlier. The criminal is still at large. Grieving Jayden turned to Valium to calm his errant nerves. After prolonged use he has become addicted, and hides his vice from his colleagues. Though he is largely unaltered he has been known to be more impulsive lately and often gets overly emotional in interrogations. It has been five years since the incident, yet the memory still plagues his every day.

Hey guys!
I had a bit of a brainwave yesterday.
To whoever will be making a male special agent (Field agent)
Do you think that he could be a bit more brawn then brains?
Just because we already have a lot of brainiacs on the team already, why not even out the playing field, right? =)
