STAFF TRYOUTS!
Okay, now that things are running really well I could use some help with up keep. Kyle and I already have control of actual forum maintenance and upkeep (him with the tech experience, and me with the forum etiquette and ownership). As of right now that will suffice; however those with coding experience are welcome to apply, extra touches to the forum would be nice.
What I really need help with is Moderation; Including editing posts, answering forum and role play related questions, and deleting and moving errant threads. For this I am looking for two Global Moderators and lesser mods for each category on the forum. I also want to have a total of two more Chat Mods.
What I ask is a quick statement of what staff position you want to fill and a short explanation of why you deserve the role. If I find your application intriguing enough I may ask you for some proof of your skill. I won’t go into specifics on what I am looking for in each role hoping you can tell me what you think is most important for each job.
Finally I do also need someone to recruit, or run a committee that brainstorms ways of attracting new members. This is the hardest position to fill but in the long run will be the most important. All are welcome to suggest ideas still.
Current Staff members, not including Kyle, need to also convince me of your merits. I want the best of the best, and unfortunately that means cutting back on errant staff members.

The only position that I would be able to fill would be the publicity one, letting people know about the forum. I don't know how to work the jobs of any of the other positions, therefore they are a no go. Facebook is a means of publicity for the site, but I could tell groups of people in public who appear to fit the role. Flyers, social networking, and playing basketball in a different town nearly every day gives me the flexibility to be around a vast region of communities. It wouldn't be a Dylan post without the tagline. "Goodnight to all and to all a good night!"

Could you give me an example of what your flier would say or a letter you would send across a social networking site to advertise and recruit...

Ok, so I know I cannot always get on because I do not yet have a laptop. Stop However, I will try everyday to get on and edit all that I can. Stop I have been active in the Pokemon thread, and I will begin to get into CZ and CoD. Stop I ask that you do not judge my tardiness and allow me to stay a mod. Stop I also want you to consider me for an IM mod because even though it is in my character, I will not destroy others posts unless absolutely disrespectful or just plain wrong. Stop I really love this site and I want to keep it going and make it better for new users so we can make this site bigger and perhaps begin funding one day, so I believe that Senor El Blinko should stay a top Global Mod and become an IM Mod. Stop

No to the IM Mod, sorry you just aren't friendly enough. Sorry.
As for your Modship...I am deliberating your ability, as I haven't seen an extreme knowledge of how the forum works. What I may do is move you to a general Mod position and see how you do in running the category and helping people with questions there.
To you what do you think the job of Global Mod entails?
