Alright folks, this here is for complete beginners. If you know how to type well and how to jump in a story, well then get out. I'm here to teach the new kids how to survive in a zombie apocalypse or how to fight off a sudden lycanthrope.
First things first, you gotta register. That's real simple, up top, where you see welcome guest, just click the register button and make an account. When you do, you can begin posting as many threads and replies as you want.
When you register, you'll notice a couple of things. First, when you post a reply, your name will be to the left. You can see your rank, name, and title, along with some stars and your avatar picture, and your stats. We won't get into how to change those things this time, but this allows people to see who posted it.
Next, you need to know how to actually post things. First, let's thank our Admin Easy E for making the file folders you see on the main page. Whenever you need to get where you're going, just click on the right one and it will take you there. He made a great system, and Mr. L is the only person I know who can code it, so remember them when you tell your friends how great 814 RP is.
Anywho, once you get where you want to go, click on that topic folder and it will show you every reply to that topic. Now, once you read all the posts, you have two options on how you reply. The easy way is to scroll to the bottom and click inside the reply box and type it up there. If you're like me and you enjoy a little more control, then you can scroll to the top or bottom of the screen and click post reply, and go to town. You can change things like your standard underlining and boldening or colors or any kind of attachments, along with emoticons. Then, when you're done, make sure you have a subject, which is just RE: whatever your typing in, and scroll and click post reply.
Now if you make a mistake, don't sweat it. At the top of each reply you post, you can click modify post, and go right back into your typing box and fix whatever screwup you need to. When your done, just scroll down again and hit modify post. If a mod like myself or anyone else on our helpful staff catches an error, they'll be more than happy to patch it up real quick.
That about does it, but remember, nothing disrespectful please, or we're gonna have to take it off, and eventually you if you're just downright mean all the time. And everytime you post in a topic, unless stated otherwise, you need 2 posts from other people between your post and the next one you put up.
